JAKARTA: Every now and then, we are disappointed with health services. While some of us resort to writing complaints to the media, others like pop singer Mulan Jameela choose to keep it a private matter.
“I once had fever for 10 days and went to the doctor. I had to do blood tests four times and even then, the diagnosis wasn’t clear. I felt like I was being tossed around while I was sick and needed care,” Mulan said, as quoted by news portal kapanlagi.com on Friday.
However, the 30-year-old woman chose to share her complaints only with the hospital she dealt with.
“As consumers, we all have a right to complain if we’re not satisfied with the service and feel that we’re being treated as a guinea pigs,” Mulan said, adding that people were more likely to get a response from their complaints if they filed them directly with their doctor or hospital.
“If they don’t listen, then file an official complaint letter. If that also doesn’t work, then just avoid going there.”
