Take a look back at celebs who went from soap to stardom

From Soaps to Stardom

With the announcement that ABC has axed the long-running soap operas All My Children (on the air since 1970) and One Life to Live (since 1968), it's time to look back at two programs that, in addition to providing countless hours of daytime viewing pleasure, provided valuable stepping stones for many familiar faces from film and nighttime programming. Here are some of the actors who got early breaks on these two programs. Like Hayden Panettiere (pictured), who, as a little girl, was "Sarah Roberts" on One Life to Live. (She would go on to star on Guiding Light as well.)
